7 mag star in center of cluster. Forty+ members at 46x, many of them faint (14+ mag). At 80x, 25-30 more faint stars are resolved. OCl I.1848 is just to the W.

Bright, stellar core region, pretty circular. Outer halo very wispy/dim. At 148x, core becomes knotty; more gradual blending of brightness bet core and outer regions. Shape slightly oblong; faint, star-like point at center.

At 80x, fairly large oval patch just S of 12 mag star. No central brightening; very elongated.

148
Fairly large oblong halo with smooth brightness from core to outer edges. Impression the same at 148x, but central area shows slight brightening. (Asteroid? went slowly through disk at 148x -- from W - E.)

At 80x, just a hint of haze visible with some barely resolved stars. At 150x there are 4-5 12+ mag members and a haze where unresolved stars are probably lurking.

At 150x, very bright center in virtually round halo. Round core area, then brightness drops off to dimmer spiral arms, which have concentric structure in them. At 235x, center is clumpy, with slight stellaring at nucleus.

Dim cluster mostly NW of a nice double star (brighter white; dimmer blue).  Need averted vision to resolve 12+ members, brightest of which is a 13+ mag star N of double. A real test for averted vision due to brightness of double. Needed 150x. Cluster not visible in 80x at this seeing.

(O-III)
Acquired at 45x with O-III. Round halo with stellar center. At 80x, some structure is visible (circular whorls) and stellar center glimpsed. At 150x, dark and small central portion appears. Central star appears infrequently when going in and of averted vision. Still round, but edges are more uneven.

Rangy, but close grouping of 3 brighter stars (2 in center) and 20 dimmer ones (12+ mag) at 80x. At 150x, many appear to be visual doubles. About 30 total members. Near Kemble's Cascade.

At 80x, a small circle of six 12+ mag stars with many other members resolved only with averted vision. At 150x, though 15-20 stars resolved, not much additional is seen in background.

Big and stately cluster at 80x, with forty 11+ mag stars in fairly dense group with background haze (visible in finder). At 150x, about 50 stars are resolved, some in curved lines. Presence of additional members suggested by residual unresolved haze. Very nice.

Round, very bright, with bright center but no visible central star, Edges are dimmer than core and disk very distinct. Not much brighter in O-III, but hint of a separate ring at outside edges appears.

At 150x, fifteen 12+ mag members centered on 6.5 mag double star (with 7.5 mag companion). Sparse and rather unremarkable, except for high contrast of foreground stars.
